it's Google's world; we just live in it

A friend whom I grew up with just showed me that Google Maps now has 360º single-axis photo maps of NYC, where we grew up. Very eerie. Here's my old high school:

    I saw this new feature on last night's TV news -- but I still find one of Google's older features scarier: its ability to show you the physical location of any phone number. (To demonstrate: go to google.com, type a ten digit phone number separated by hyphens in the search field, and hit Go.)
